REAL WORLD PROJECT

Portfolio Website

On this site you will find information and projects by Giuseppe Troiano. A visual designer from Nuremberg/Bamberg, who combines conceptual thinking with pixel-precise design.

Competitor Research

Moodboard

To create the moodboard, I analyzed a variety of competitor websites and promotional materials. While many of them were professionally designed, they often looked quite similar in terms of structure, color palette, and imagery. This exercise helped identify common visual patterns in the industry, but also highlighted the opportunity to differentiate through a more distinctive design approach.
Cohesive Design System

Styleguide

To ensure the brand stands out from visually similar competitors, I deliberately chose a color scheme that feels more unique and modern, while still maintaining a professional appearance. Instead of using the typical cool-toned business colors, the selected palette is more expressive and engaging, helping to convey trust and originality. The styleguide defines key design elements such as brand colors, typography, and layout principles, serving as a foundation for consistent and impactful visual communication.
Unique Proposition > Unique Design

USP

Before starting the design process, it is essential to fully understand the brand and its unique selling proposition (USP). For portfolio.giuseppe-troiano.de, the USP lies in Giuseppe Troiano’s ability to combine conceptual thinking with pixel-precise design, creating visuals that are both strategically strong and meticulously crafted. This approach ensures that every project not only looks polished but also communicates the core message and identity of the brand effectively. Recognizing these strengths guided the design decisions, allowing the portfolio to clearly express both creativity and professional expertise.
Coding and Design

The Logo

The Giuseppe Troiano logo perfectly reflects a balance between design and coding. Its clean, minimalist form communicates precision and clarity, essential qualities in both visual design and development. The geometric square with a circular element conveys structure and logic, resonating with coding principles, while the sleek, modern typography demonstrates aesthetic sensitivity and creativity—key traits for a designer. Together, the logo embodies professionalism, technical skill, and a refined design sense, making it an ideal visual identity for a design and coding portfolio.

Typography

Choosing PP Neue Montreal for both headings and body text was a deliberate and effective choice for portfolio.giuseppe-troiano.de. The typeface gives headings a modern, confident, and subtly distinctive character — perfect for grabbing attention and conveying professionalism. Its clean, geometric structure also ensures excellent readability and a friendly, approachable tone throughout the body text.

PP Neue Montreal

PP Neue Montreal is a geometric sans-serif typeface. Its shapes are based on perfect circles and squares, giving it a modern, clean, and structured yet slightly playful appearance. I used it for the headings.

mobile first

Responsive Design

In today’s digital landscape, mobile design is essential. A strong brand identity must translate seamlessly across all devices, especially smartphones. For YOU2GROW, the logo and visual elements were crafted to remain clear, recognizable, and impactful even on small screens — ensuring a consistent and professional appearance at every touchpoint.

Personas

Defining clear personas is also a key part of the design process. Personas represent the different types of clients the brand wants to reach — their goals, challenges, values, and expectations. By understanding these profiles in detail, the design can be tailored to resonate emotionally and visually with the target audience.
